Readings and discussion questions, week 3: the wiki week

Tomorrow in class, we’d like to address two aspects of wikis and Wikipedia from the readings.

1. Can Wikipedia be viewed as an academic source? How can we assess its worthiness?

2. The Niederer piece describes Wikipedia as a set of social, informational and technical structures, such as the role that bots play in administering Wikipedia. How does technology structure the experience of Wikipedia—or other kinds of communication?
